Upcoming News and Announcements - 1/23/2026
The second collection this weekend will benefit the Church in Latin America.Due to the expected weather conditions on Sunday afternoon, we have CANCELLED the Preschool Open House from 2-4pm 1/25/26. If you would like to schedule a tour and learn more about St. Mary’s Preschool program, please click on the QR code or contact us at preschool@stmaryofsorrows. org
Because of the approaching winter storm, and even though we don’t know exactly when it will be on our doorstep, we are canceling Saturday’s Movie Night. The bitter cold combined with some of us not leaving the church until late makes me think it would be unwise to stick with it this time. CANCELED: We will not be collecting sandwiches for Martha’s Table this Sunday, Jan. 25, to help everyone stay safe with the storm expected at that time. If you have already purchased food for making sandwiches, you can freeze the ingredients until next month’s collection.
If you have experienced the loss of a family member or friend and are feeling isolated, you don’t have to suffer alone. We are starting a Grief Support Group in February at St. Mary of Sorrows. To find out more about it, please see the bulletin and contact Kathy Maurer at kathryn.maurer@compassus. com.
SAVE THE DATE: The following events are coming up. Please make note on your calendar and watch for further information in our bulletin, on our website or in future Flocknotes!!
